What happens when the cover of a magazine is also its argument? SAMPLE is a single-issue magazine that uses a 2mm steel sheet as its cover — a material choice that forces the reader to engage physically with the object before reaching the content. The cover acquires a patina over time through handling, so each copy becomes a unique object. Inside, photographic reportages document steel production environments in black and white, while curated contemporary Italian poems provide reflective pauses — a dialogue between visual evidence and poetic interpretation.
